Joe & Mika Join Harvard Institute of Politics As Visiting Fellows Summer/Fall 2017

MSNBC's 'Morning Joe' co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough wore matching blue and white checked shirts on this morning's broadcast, carrying their engaged togetherness to a new level. The duo is clearly positioning themselves as the kind of bridge that America needs between a Conservative Republican (Scarborough) and Progressive Democrat (Brzezinski). It's not a bad idea because depending on just how intensely the Sanders camp holds the Democratic party in check, an alliance between the giant American middle is possible between educated liberal Democrats and moderate Republicans.

Harvard Kennedy's School's Institute of Politics (IOP) has announced that the 'Morning Joe' duo will serve as Visiting Fellows this summer and fall.

“For several years, ‘Morning Joe’ has been at the forefront of covering millennials in politics, and at Harvard they will engage directly with the young people who will reconnect America and serve as future political leaders,” said Congressman Bill Delahunt, Interim Director of the Institute of Politics.

'Morning Joe' Gets The SNL Treatment & Kate McKinnon Is Brilliant As Mika Brzezinski

This weekend's 'Saturday Night Live' took aim at the American Health Care Act; President Donald Trump -- voiced by Alex Baldwin -- posing via phone as his own mythical PR agent John Miller; and this week's news that 'Morning Joe' hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are engaged.

The shows's cold open skit featured comedians Kate McKinnon doing a great Brzezinski with Alex Moffat playing Scarborough. The duo got racy and more than once -- much to the horror of regular 'Morning Joe' panelists also in the skit.

Morning Joe Hosts Joe Scarborough & Mika Brzezinski Confirm Engagement

MSNBC's Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski are engaged to be married, cementing their relationship at a weekend proposal at the scenic Bar Bellini at the Hotel du Cap-Eden-Roc in Antibes. Brzezinski celebrated her 50th birthday on the romantic trip to the south of France and Monaco.

Scarborough remarked to The Hollywood Reporter last month that he and Brzezinski "have a crackling on-air chemistry, and a crackling off-air chemistry, too." Scarborough divorced his second wife in 2013 and Brzezinski divorced her husband in 2016. In the same interview, Scarborough made it clear that even their pets were co-mingling.

Dishing on Morning Joe: A Trump Crush Gone Bust But Will Joe's Musical Rain Money?

Dishing on Morning Joe: A Trump Crush Gone Bust But Will Joe's Musical Rain Money?

These days I try to watch 'Morning Joe' as little as possible. So I missed host Joe Scarborough's criticism of president-elect Donald Trump for his tweets against Meryl Streep's Golden Globe speech. Actually Scarborough delivered a strong message to Trump as Inauguration Day approaches: "Stop Tweeting!"

"Stop tweeting about Meryl Streep," the Republican former Congressman continued. "Stop putting words into the mouths of intel agencies. I'm serious, someone around him needs to tell him, give it a rest. Start preparing for your inauguration. Stop being so thin-skinned."

In the words of Vice President Joe Biden, who weighed in on Trump a few days ago pre-Street meldown "Grow up."

Scarborough's Trump tone contrasted with his and Mika's battle with fellow journalists last week.
