A New York Times article revealed on Friday that president Trump's longtime fixer and friend who maintained an office in Trump Tower located close to the now president, lawyer Michael D. Cohen, recorded a conversation with the presidential candidate two months before the presidential election. The conversation is communication about a second payment to insure McDougal's silence after an initial arrangement with The National Inquirer.

The recording, seized during a raid on Mr. Cohen's office by the FBI several months ago,  is potential evidence in a Justice Department investigation about Cohen's involvement in paying women to kill or tamp down breaking news stories that could embarrass the presidential candidate in the days before the election.

To recap, the former model Karen McDougal claims that she was involved in a nearly year-long affair with Trump in 2006, shortly after the birth of his son Barron with First Lady Melania Trump. McDougal sold her story to The National Enquirer in the tumultuous days before the 2016 presidential election, but it was never published.

McDougal's claim came in an avalanche of media stories around Trump's affairs with multiple women and after the release of the now infamous Access Hollywood tape in which Trump boasted about being able to grab any woman he wanted by the p###y.

David J Pecker, the chairman of The Inquirer's parent company and a longtime, very close friend of Trump's is believed to have employed a practice known as "catch and kill", whereby a story is paid for with no intention of ever publishing it. This allegation and similar ones with other women are under investigation by the FBI.

The Wall Street Journal first revealed the allegations by McDougal against the current President on Nov. 4, 2016. The story was batted down by then Trump campaign spokeswoman Hope Hicks, who said "We have no knowledge of any of this," claiming that the claim of an affair was "totally untrue."

Madonna As 'Statue of Liberty' By Michael Forbes Joins Marilyn Minter At Brooklyn Museum Jan, 19

The black eye is perfect because this is how we feel. Madonna is never one to walk away from controversy, and she was quick to share this new artwork by Scottish artist Michael Forbes. The artist portrays a caricature-like image of the President-elect as 'King Kong Trump' sitting on the head of our beloved Statue of Liberty, personified by Madonna. The human rights icon is holding a sign saying 'Not My President' -- a declaration that Hillary Clinton won the popular vote by nearly 3 million Americans.

"After Madonna posted it on Instagram my phone has been ringing repeatedly with people telling me about it," Forbes told the BBC.

Forbes has long been open about his opposition to the actions and policies of America's Twitter President-elect, writes ArtNet.. He is a member of the 'Tripping Up Trump' (TUT) movement protesting Trump's development of a gold course in Aberdeenshire, a council area in Scotland.

"Donald Trump's track record shows he cannot be trusted to behave reasonably towards his neighbors or act responsibly towards the environment," TUT declares on its website.

As a Hillary Clinton supporter, Madonna has been a staunch activist against Trump. In sharing the Forbes artwork, Madonna wrote: "Superman (or woman) to the rescue!"

Madonna addressed the 'woman problem' in her recent Billboard speech:

Women have been so oppressed for so long they believe what men have to say about them. They believe they have to back a man to get the job done. And there are some very good men worth backing, but not because they’re men—because they’re worthy. As women, we have to start appreciating our own worth, and each other’s worth. Seek out strong women to befriend, to align yourself with, to learn from, to be inspired by, to collaborate with, to support, [and] to be enlightened by.
