Anja Rubik Guest Edits Vogue Poland March 2023 5th Year, Loves Inez & Vinoodh

Polish supermodel Anja Rubik celebrates her outstanding career in the pages of Vogue Poland’s 5th anniversary issue, where she serves as guest editor.

Rubik poses in a Saint Laurent Men’s fashion story styled by Paul Sinclaire and featured on Anthony Vacarello’s IG as Saint Laurent Artistic, Creative, Image Director.

Anja is a friend of the Saint Laurent house and frequently appears in the brand’s menswear as well as womenswear.

The TRUE supermodel details key stops on her fashion-world journey including her special relationship with photographers Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin [IG].

The cover story is filled with pride and nostalgia. It was shot in NYC by my fashion family, true creatives, Inez van Lamsweerde and Vinoodh Matadin. It was 19 years ago that I walked into their studios hoping they would notice me and dreaming I could become a part of their vision. Filled with passion and compassion in equal doses, what these two people do together, what they make is magical. Their work epitomizes for me the best of fashion and a true representation of what it means to be showcased on the front cover of a Vogue magazine.

The third birthday cover of ‘Vogue Polska’ was created by Jan Bajtlik. An artist who has collaborated with with the Hermès fashion house, Bajtlik illustrated the most important moments in the career of Anja Rubik, star and guest editor of the March issue of our magazine.

AOC is a long-time admirer of Anja’s work as a sex educator, Joan-of-Arc level warrior for women’s rights to control our own bodies in the arena of abortion politics, and all aspects of LGBTQIA+ social justice rights.

In our opinion, Anja Rubik rests at the very top of that social activist pyramid, facing off with adversaries in a fearless and defiant posture. Rubik is also a committed environmentalist who has managed to soar in fashion world, while staying true to her own values.
