Body Beat | Kate Upton's Wig | Yu Tsai's Pet Names | Inez de la Fressange Fronts Vogue Paris

Nothing Less Than An Epic Fashion Event!!!

Getting up Monday morning and seeing our Kate Upton tag on fire, I jumped on the Internet wondering what darling Kate was up to.

A new movie role, perhaps? I knew she didn’t do her own Kim Kardashian Christmas card like Ellen and Portia, because Kate says ‘no nudity’. We’ll see how long that lasts, and Kate can change her mind any time she sees fit with no trouble from me.

Perhaps Kate has a new philanthropy mission — a UN ambassador perhaps. After all, her sunny disposition, big heart and impeccable manners will go far in foreign countries.

Oh seriously not!!!!! You are kidding me.

The fuss is all about her hair, and even that was a fakeout, followed by retractions today.

Kate Upton wore a wig and the fashion blogging world went wild with news that Kate Upton Chopped Her Bombshell Hair, wrote Refinery 29 — followed by a retraction today.

My spiritual guru Mooji says “Judge not, Anne. Judge not. Work on yourself, not others. No judging, Anne.”

“Okay, Mooji, I’m really trying. I am … I am… I am…”

Yu Tsai’s Pet Panda

By afternoon Kate had cooled down and photographer Yu Tsai, of Guess and sexy editorials fame, with a bit of Victoria’s Secret thrown in for good measure, took off. Yu Tsai is now a high-profile consultant on America’s Next Top Model.

I don’t watch the show, but it seems that Yu Tsai repeatedly called model Chantelle Brown-Young ‘panda’ inspired by her skin condition called Vitiligo, the skin condition causing patchy pigmentation of the skin. Chantelle tries to speak with Tsai about his nickname, suggesting that he’s sending the message that it’s okay to make up pet names for people with skin conditions and other health irregularities.

Yu Tsai would have none of that, telling Chantelle “I don’t work for you.”  Hmmm, that’s a pretty feeble response. Let me say that I’ve always felt a deep spot in my heart for people dealing with Vitiligo. Listening to Chantelle on an unrelated video leaves no doubt that she’s one fantastic person and a hot model with a wonderful on-screen personality.

My Yu Tsai search took me to Styleite, a site far fresher than I remember it, and it’s now on my view list.
