Lana Del Ray Fronts SKIMS 2024 Valentine's Day Collection by Nadia Lee Cohen

SKIMS is now fearless about firing one volley after another into the prized territory of the once-great Victoria’s Secret lingerie brand.

SKIMS co-ounder Kim Kardashian has broken the Internet more than once, and it happened again this week. SKIMS said in a statement on Tuesday morning, January 23:

"Due to record breaking traffic and unprecedented demand for our Valentine’s Day launch, our Skims site has crashed. Shopify is working to resolve the issue asap.”

“If you were unable to check out, please try to do so again soon and we will also notify you when we are fully back up again. Thank you for your patience.”

That arrow in the heart of American torch singer Lana Del Ray may symbolize a wound far more deadly than one woman’s broken heart on Valentine’s Day.

Kim Kardashian may be considering the outrageous possibility of suiting up for battle with Victoria’s Secret — as in an aggressive move to buy Victoria’s Secret with backing of the largest VS stockholders.

CNN lists the top 10 owners of Victoria’s Secret.

Should she ever flaunt the abundant professional moxie to launch such a move — AOC’s money is on Kim Kardashian and her CEO partner Jens Grede. Note that wife Emma Grede, who co-founded Good American with Khloe Kardashian, is also involved in SKIMS.

The Gredes have many pots of fine retail cuisine on the stove.

When lingerie lovers look at this SKIMS Valentine’s Day 2024 campaign, featuring Lana Del Ray with appearances from KK, the images have Victoria’s Secret written all over it.

“I’ve been a big fan of SKIMS since the beginning, so being featured in their Valentine’s campaign is so exciting,” the ‘Say Yes to Heaven’ singer shared in a press release. “Their collection is so pretty and dreamy, which made collaborating with [photographer] Nadia Lee Cohen [IG] on the creative so fun. I hope you love it as much as I do.”

The Grammy-winning artist's ambassadorship amassed $13.7 million in media impact value within four days, with Del Rey's own Instagram post earning Skims more than $4 million, based on January 25 reports from Launchmetrics.

Last week, Del Rey was announced as one of the 2024 Coachella Music Festival headliners.
