Cut and paste them out of the context of a campaign article and they read like dialog from a made for TV movie about a wife-beater."

I wrote recently on anti-feminist Phyllis Schlafly's being on the verge of being kicked out of her Eagle Forum organization at the age of 91, Her crime? She endorsed Donald Trump. Hence Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner's New York Observer newspaper wrote a real nice piece in support of the woman who single-handedly turned back the Equal Rights Amendment.

Has Bernie Violated Democratic Convention and Caucus Rules that Stipulate Gender Parity for Delegates and Nominees?

Hillary Clinton nominated four women and two men to the Democratic platform committee yesterday. Debbie Wasserman Schultz nominated two men and two women.

Bernie Sanders nominated four men and one woman, violating the rules -- we are told. To make matters worse, Cornel West is on record, expressing love for 'Brother Trump', along with 'Brother Bernie'.

From day 1, HWN (HillaryWomen News on FB) has argued that Bernie started a campaign run by 12 white men. We believe that Bernie Sanders will sell out women's rights in a heart beat. Given a massive infrastructure bill by Republicans that has a rider defunding Planned Parenthood (this is how Congress works), we believe President Bernie Sanders would sign the bill.

We believe that a President Bernie Sanders would not make any attempt at gender equity in cabinet appointments. Frankly, we don't believe that Bernie Sanders has the connections or knowledge base of talented, competent women to serve in his administration.

If the allegations that gender equity is stipulated in the rules -- as we were just advised -- is correct, then the willingness of the Bernie Sanders campaign to turn back gender equity goals in his appointments to the Democratic platform committee is unacceptable.

We would also like an explanation from prominent women's rights activists -- who have criticized HWN and us individually -- as to why they support Bernie's ignoring or wanting to overturn these gender equity rules.

We will investigate fully this topic and make a really big issue of it in the coming days. ~ Anne
