Supermodel Carolyn Murphy covers the December 2022 issue of ELLE France. As photographer Boo George notes on his IG, the image above is “the cover that got away”. Below is the actual cover image. No further comment on that decision!

Wanting to honor the fabulous woman supermodel activist Carolyn Murphy, we had Murphy’s 2016 Interview story, shot in Costa Rica by Mikael Jansson in collage form only in the old fashion channel. They are deeply sensual images of the supermodel, so sensual that we shared them in AOC Body on two pages.

Note, they also have a ‘gritty’ undercurrent as images, which both Boo George and Mikael Jansson do well. Gritty is not witchy, however.

If these images of Carolyn Murphy leave you with a sense of model injustice, your spirits will soar with these fine photographs from 2016 in resized version.

Clearly, offering up the “cover that got away” IG post, Boo George is making his own statement about the visual evolution of the original ELLE France December 2022 images. Amen!
