Carolyn Murphy channels socialite Jocelyn Wildenstein for Vogue Italia’s September issue, styled by Karl Templer. Wildenstein is best known for her extensive facial surgeries, an endeavor many find a face gone mad. ‘Face the Future’ explores the complexity of women’s self image and aging, and our making peace with the woman in the mirror.

In the case of Jocelyn Wildenstein, reports have always been that she is “ecstatic with her work. She feels beautiful. She looks in the mirror and she loves what she sees. She got exactly what she wanted.” Wildenstein is now divorced from her husband who — she says — wanted her to look like a lion. Reports are that Jocelyn and her husband Alec fell in love hunting lions in 1977 on Alec’s ranch in Kenya.
