Tina Turner, 73, Is 'Simply The Best' for Vogue Germany April 2013

American rock ‘n’roll singer Tina Turner rocks the house as the oldest ever Vogue Magazine cover girl. Turner replaces Meryl Streep who covered American Vogue in January 2012 at 62. Tina Turner is ‘Simply the Best’ at 73, styled by Nicola Knels in Armani for the cover editorial of Vogue Germany’s April 2013 issue, lensed by Claudia Knoepfel & Stefan Indlekofer.

Tina Turner was born Anna Mae Bullock and launched her successful musical career with guitarist and ex-husband Ike Turner, who she charged with beating her several times in her autobiography ‘I, Tina’.

Turner owns 8 Grammys and has sold more concert tickets than any solo performer in history, writes Wiki. Tina credits her relationship with Buddhism as a very healing influence in her life. She renounced her American citizenship in 2012 after living in Switzerland for 20 years with her current, significantly-younger partner German-based music executive Erwin Bach.

Tina Turner’s own vibrancy and life-infused personality —coupled with the benefits of being with a younger man who obviously adores her — inspire us all to rock on as proof that women can be stupendously wonderful at every age. Here’s lookin’ at you, kid!  ~ Anne
