Bollywood actor Deepika Padukone covers the February 2018 issue of Vogue India's 'Happy Issue'. Stylist Anaita Shroff Adajania chooses designs from Ashish, Lolli, Topshop, Diane von Furstenberg, Moshino and more for images by Mazen Abusrour.
Deepika Padukone wears a smile even though she's lived with constant death threats and insults to her character for months now, embroiled in protests against the movie 'Padmavati'. Hindu nationalists put a $1.5 million bounty on Padukone's head, for disgracing -- in their opinion -- the 14th century Hindu queen, a fictional heroine envisioned by the 16th-century poet Malik Muhammad Jayasi. AOC will follow up today, but the movie has opened in India, as ordered by the Supreme Court. While there have been protests, the mass suicide of Hindu women did not go off as promised.
