Tilda Swinton Takes 'Poetic License' In Images By Tim Walker For W Magazine Vol #7 2018

Swinton takes ‘Poetic License’ in channeling Dame Edith Sitwell, not only a poet, critic, and famous eccentric, but also her distant cousin. “I have been aware of the Sitwells all my life,” Swinton says of Edith and her younger brothers, Osbert and Sacheverell, who were also writers. “As significant examples of artists to whom I can claim kin, I’ve always treasured them.”

Walker and Swinton decided to go to Renishaw, the house where the Sitwells grew up for the photo shoot. See Tilda Swinton completely transformed into the eccentric Edith Sitwell and read the backstory at W Magazine.
