Rosie Huntington-Whiteley & Lily Aldridge Support Pink Hope For Elle Australia June 2016

Top models and close friends Rosie Huntington-Whiteley and Lily Aldridge gave up their fee and donated their time and beautiful cover girl faces to Krystal Barter's Pink Hope charity. The editorial would typically have cost Elle Australia more than $100,000 in model fees alone. Instead, that money will support Barter's project to raise awareness and funds for testing for the BRCA-1 gene mutation, which leads to a significantly higher risk of developing breast and ovarian cancer.

The June issue of Elle Australia hits newsstands today and represents one of the first times that a fashion cover is dedicated to a philanthropy. "This was the nicest shoot I've ever been on. The girls gave it everything, they worked so hard during that 12-hour day and were really moved by Krystal's story," Elle's editor in chief Justine Cullen said. "We had worked with Pink Hope before but we don't jump on a lot of causes as Elle isn't about lecturing readers, it always has to come back to entertainment, which this does. It's so great to be able to do something bigger than just throwing an awareness ribbon on a page."

Rosie and Lily served as Victoria's Secret Angels (Aldridge remains) and met 10 years ago after buying apartments in the same New York apartment building. The pair also conducted an interview for '60 Minutes' as part of the project.

Rosie and Lily were photographed by Simon Upton on location in Malibu, California.
