'My Precious' by Aorta | The Creatives

This extraordinary artistic social commentary on religion, masculinity and femininity called ‘My Precious’ is an Anne of Carversville summation editorial.

The simultaneous attraction/rejection and murder of female sensuality by spiritual leader Sir is undeniable and the ultimate patriarchal reprimand.

It’s not only female sensuality that is drowned but her ties to nature, the environment, dolphins (there are no dolphins, only water). Man rules all. The summation of the sensual encounter is death, but Sir will be haunted by Her. In the unconscious — where ‘she’ lives on … She haunts Sir, taunting his patriarchal, religious controls over her being and all the earth, its animals and earlier civilizations — when the problem is his own desires and need to master himself.

Sir appears to kill everything — all life, as evidenced in the last two images. Prior to that he shrouds her. Whew! What food for thought! Anne

‘My Precious”

That dream, that never came true,
that dream was angelic to get,
for him, who is banished from Eden,
is Eden an Eden yet.   /G.Fröding
