Stephanie Diani for The New York TimesPerformance artist Marina Abramovic headlined the fall fundraiser for LA’s Museum of Contemporary Art, where the artist arranged human centerpieces made up of live models, their heads protruding through the tables or bodies stretched out on tables imitating Abramovic’s ‘Nude With Skeleton’. Completing the experience were life-size cakes replicating Ms Abramovic’s naked body and also that of Deborah Harry. Read on at NYT.

* Juergen Teller created a stir this summer this summer with his shoot of Kristen McMenamy at Carlo Mollino’s house in Turin for 032c magazine (photo left). Following Mollino’s edict that “anything is permissible as long as it is fantastic”, the shoot pushed the boundaries but it wasn’t deliberately controversial, says Teller.
