Saint Laurent Fall/Winter 2023/4 Campaign of Soft, Elegant Riches by Gray Sorrenti

Saint Laurent drops a blockbuster Fall Winter 2023/4 campaign with an abundance of talent riches.

Updated Sept. 8, 2023. We add Alek Wek, Amber Valletta, Anja Rubik, Anna Juvander, Rosé Park, Tara Falla.

Out now is an ensemble cast of Anson Boon, Béatrice Dalle, Dominic Fike, Hailey Bieber, Kate Moss, Mica Argañaraz, Moncef Farfar, Shalom Harlow, Steve Lacy, and Zoë Kravitz.

Paul Sinclaire styles the cast, while Gray Sorrenti [IG] shoots one of the top black and white portfolio books of the season.

Other models and talents expected in the campaign include Arsun Sorrenti, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Laura Harrier, and Sami Slimane. Arsun Sorrenti contributes his musical talents to the campaign.

Much was made of Anthony Vaccarello’s exaggerated shoulder jackets this season. Even there, the designer won accolades for the softness of his fabrics and silhouettes that were malleable.

We presume that even the big shoulders are poufs and not the killer foam pads of the 80s that could protect women in a car crash.

The Helmut Newton vibe is unmistakeable, but even there the femme fatale mood exudes a softer power that is more elegant than intimidating.

In Vaccarello’s own words:

Maybe elegance is something we have no sense of today. Maybe we don’t care about it. Maybe it has some other meaning, or maybe it has no meaning at all. But I really wanted to bring that idea of being dressed.”
