The ‘Vela,’ has been developed with a sharp, defined silhouette and contours to "cut through the wind like a sail.” Boasting a V-shaped closure and flexible zipper, the bag features an engraved Etro logo on one side of its chain, and Pegasus adorning the other. The pull was designed using the same technique utilized to mint coins.

With its detachable shoulder strap, the Vela can be carried over the shoulder or worn as a cross-body bag. Its design is very modern against the backdrop of Italy’s long and storied history.

It comes in core colors of black, ivory and gianduia brown, with a rotation of seasonal colors. Gianduia or gianduja is a homogeneous blend of chocolate with 30% hazelnut paste, invented in Turin in 1806, during Napoleon's regency. The color is a warm, reddish brown also associated with an Italian liquor, gelata and multiple Italian desserts.
