Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama 2023 Campaign All Stars Lensed by Steven Meisel

Fashion world got a major wakeup with the original preview of the January 2023 Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama campaign released after Christmas

Yayoi Kusama, Age 93, Rolls Again with Louis Vuitton

LV put Gisele Bundchen front and center in a second, historical collaboration with revered Japanese creative Yayoi Kusama, one of the world’s pre-eminent artists at age 93.

LVMH’s Louis Vuitton executive vice president Delphine Arnault oversees all product-related activities for the luxury brand and was eager for a second collaboration with Kusama.

Covid delayed her plans for a repeat performance of the 2012 business venture, but today this second dose of Louis Vuitton x Yayoi Kusama is storming the world.

Arnault describes the artistic effort between the brands as two perfection-obsessed, design studios joining their creative brain functions in “concept, execution and craft”.

“One of the aspects of her [Yayoi Kusama’s] work is happiness, and we thought it would be really refreshing after the pandemic to have the worlds of Vuitton and the world of Kusama meet again,” Arnault explained.

Steven Meisel Is Behind the Lens

Gisele Bundchen was joined by top models Anok Yai and Fei Fei Sun, photographed by legendary photographer Steven Meisel in the campaign preview.

THIS was a championship team of creative talent that left us wondering about the full campaign rolling out. Now we know who has joined the performance.

They are Bella Hadid, Christy Turlington, Devon Aoki, He Cong, Karlie Kloss, Liya Kebede, Malick Bodian, Natalia Vodianova, Parker Van Noord, and Rianne Van Rompaey. That’s a wow!
