Burberry Pre-Fall 2021 Lookbook Is Urban Riff on British Countryside

Burberry shares their Pre-Fall 2021 Lookbook, lensed by Kenny Germé. Models include Kayako Higuchi, Liv Walters, Reece Nelson, Sora Choi, Tashi Jay Kwayie and Tyler Forbes. James Campbell styles the Burberry Pre-Fall 2021 Lookbook featuring a collection described as “an urban riff on a non-urban wardrobe.”

Speaking about his Pre-Fall 2021 Burberry collection, Riccardo Tisci said: “I have been inspired by the rich heritage of traditional British dress codes and given them a fresh perspective. . . This is my uniform for the outdoors. . . . This collection is about mirroring the natural environments within its dynamic prints, colors, and textures.”

WWD notes a bit of irony in Tisci’s Butberry collection being severely-inspired by the outdoors, with foliage, camouflage, florals and faur fur featured in abundance. The original presentation took place with models roaming through Black Park in Buckinghamshire, England, with no live audience but theatrical performers and musicians roaming the fashion show landscape. But the lookbook is shot entirely indoors with the bare minimum of a set design.

Perhaps Mother Nature is sleeping or just tired from fighting the COVID-19 pandemic trying to destroy her people.
