Sloane Crosley conducts the interview with the ‘Knives Out’ star.

A brief recap of De Armas:

Just a few years ago the star was immersed herself in seven hours of English study each day, becoming proficient in four months. Her debut in ‘No Time to Die’, the 25th James Bond movie, in a role conceived for her by Cary Joji Fukunaga and written (mostly) by Phoebe Waller-Bridge is now pushed back to Nov. 25, due to COVID-19.

Besides ‘Deep Water’ with Affleck, De Armas played in ‘The Night Clerk’, released in February 2020 and in the political drama ‘Sergio’, now playing on Netflix. De Armas plays Carolina Larriera, a young Argentine-Italian U.N. official who becomes the lover of Brazilian-born United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights Vieira de Mello. TIME shares the real-life story of the man described as a “cross between James Bond and Bobby Kennedy.”
