See You Tomorrow by Nordstrom NYC Tests Resale Shopping at Flagship Store

Nordstrom is entering the resale market with a six-month pop-up concept called See You Tomorrow in their New York City flagship store.

W Magazine writes: “Over the next six months, the department store is devoting a significant chunk of their New York City flagship to the concept, selling past season merchandise, returned items, and previously damaged pieces that have been cleaned and refurbished, at prices akin to a high-end consignment shop. Developed in partnership with Yerdle, the company that manages so-called “recommerce” for Patagonia and Eileen Fisher, it’s uncharted territory for the luxury space, in which pricing is often opaque and value is everything. “

Curated by Olivia Kim, See You Tomorrow capitalizes on the fact that shopping resale is the most sustainable way to shop, because the garment’s already been produced. Shoppers and sellers can join the movement at Nordstrom NYC with details for sellers explained here. There will also be a way to ship garments to See You Tomorrow for review by Olivia Kim’s team.

Pete Nordstrom, the company’s co-president, said, “We’re excited to show our customers another way Nordstrom is striving to leave the world better than we found it and circular fashion is another piece to this puzzle.”
