Lupita Nyong'o Covers British Vogue February 2020 Cinema Issue by Steven Meisel

Actor Lupita Nyong’o covers the February 2020 issue of British Vogue, its third annual celebration of cinematic performances. Lupita, who first commanded rising-star headlines in her Oscar-winning, supporting role in ‘12 Years a Slave’ (2013) has been nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award lead actor prize for her dual roles in ‘Us’. Nyong’o already claimed a December New York Film Critics best actress win for her role.

Talking about his February 2020 cover girl, British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful writes that Lupita Nyong’o’s double role in Jordan Peele’s “brilliant and unsettling” ‘Us’ left him reeling and so impacted that he immediately booked the star (and one of his long-time darlings) for the February cover shoot.

Steven Meisel captures Lupita in what appears to be a Louis Vuitton advertorial, shot in the presence of creative director Nicholas Ghesquière.
