Kim Kardashian for SKIMS by Nick Knight and Carine Roitfeld Is a Rocket Ready for Takeoff

Kim Kardashian for SKIMS by Nick Knight and Carine Roitfeld Is a Rocket Ready for Takeoff

SKIMS [IG] has pulled out all the stops in the new swimwear campaign shot by British fashion photographer Nick Knight [IG] founder and director of SHOWstudio.com. Knight is joined by stylist Carine Roitfeld [IG] the former EIC of Vogue Paris, founder of CR Fashion Book and its consulting agency.

Nick Knight and Carine Roitfeld together are as good as it gets, and we see the very visible results in these images.

Knight was the creative force behind the shoot, tasked with capturing the collection “in a style reminiscent of his classic and avant-garde fashion campaigns from the 2000s,” according to a press release from the brand.

AOC also raved about the Steven Klein ‘swimweat manifesto’ featuring Kim in the SKIMS June 2023 campaign. But the photography is very different in the two projects.

Read on at the AOC Body link. I compare the two campaigns from Steven Klein and now Nick Knight.

Sabrina Carpenter, Post Taylor Swift Tour, Fronts New SKIMS Stretch Lace Campaign

Sabrina Carpenter, Post Taylor Swift Tour, Fronts New SKIMS Stretch Lace Campaign

Pop star Sabrina Carpenter fronts a new SKIMS campaign for the new Stretch Lace and Fits Everybody spring collections dropping April 3.

In a volley across the net, SKIMS — who is playing hardball with Victoria’s Secret — calls Stretch Lace offering “the most alluring underwear drop yet.”

Fresh off opening Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour shows in Australia and Singapore, and touring last fall with the pop star, not all Swifties were onboard with Sabrina Carpenter promoting SKIMS.

Kim and her ex-husband Kanye West have a very sketchy history with the biggest pop star on the planet.

SKIMS Pops Into Selfridges London, Outlines Significant Retail Stores Expansion

SKIMS Pops Into Selfridges London, Outlines Significant Retail Stores Expansion

Apparel brand SKIMS has popped into London, installed at Selfridges until July 8, 2023. Selfridges will open a redesigned and expanded permanent SKIMS shop-in-shop this summer.

“I’m thrilled to open our first international pop-up experience at the iconic Selfridges Corner Shop. We expect demand and buzz to be high as this is the first time SKIMS Swim will be available in retail outside of the U.S,” Jens Grede, Skims co-founder and CEO, said in a statement. “The pop-up experience will set the tone for the future of SKIMS in London, as the cultural and fashion destination is a key market for our global expansion.”

Skims first launched Skims at Selfridges in London in October, 2020. In 2023, Skims is such a hot brand in vestment opportunity that TIME put Kim Kardashian on the cover of its TIME 100 Most Influential Companies of 2023.

In London, SKIMS is also available at Harrods and Net-a-Porter and will open its own freestanding shop in London in the next 18 months. The shop will be in an area with “high traffic”, such as Bond Street or Regent Street  Grede told The Sunday Times UK.

Kim Kardashian Rocks Scalding Skims FAUX LEATHER & SCUBA Swimwear Drop

Kim Kardashian Rocks Scalding Skims FAUX LEATHER & SCUBA Swimwear Drop

The Kardashian women are like an NBA team, and they are playing to win. What was the phrase that Kanye told Kim — that she will be nothing without him? Men tend to say those words to strong women, when they are totally fed up and eyeing the door.

In the last hour Kim Kardashian’s personal IG page has logged 899, 087 likes and the Skims IG page 14,332 in the new Steven Klein [IG] campaign of Skims FAUX LEATHER & SCUBA swimwear dropping June 27 at noon on the East Coast.

You can register to buy the Skims FAUX LEATHER & SCUBA collection online, when it drops Tuesday.

If Victoria’s Secret is stumbling like a drunken sailor with the message that the Victoria’s Secret brand is undefinableread my recent commentary — Kim Kardashian and her team are now valued at $3.2 billion.

Victoria's Secret Is Sailing In Treacherous Waters As New Leadership Is Named

Victoria's Secret Is Sailing In Treacherous Waters As New Leadership Is Named

Victoria’s Secret stock has fallen 47% in the year to date, while the S&P 500 SPX has gained 14%. Victoria’s Secret had sales of $1.4 billion in first quarter 2023 and only made $3.8 million — a 95% decrease in earnings.

I’ve said many times that if Victoria’s Secret isn’t careful, Savage X Fenty and SKIMS are going to take the business down. And I mean kaput down.

With LVMH backing Savage X Fenty via L Catterton, their incubator investment arm, and Kim Kardashion on the road now, raising $1 billion for her own venture capital fund — and also appearing on the cover of TIME Magazine, this Victoria’s Secret selling the message of “undefinable” breaks every rule of marketing I know about. And the customers seem to agree.

AOC Fashion Kate Moss' SKIMS Campaign of Kim Kardashian's Everyday Sexy Body Confidence

Kate Moss is the new face of SKIMS [IG] Summer 2021 campaign — an utterly brilliant decision by Kim Kardashian..

"I've been a fan of SKIMS since day one," Moss said in a press release. "What Kim is doing with the brand is so fresh and modern, making underwear women actually want and that fits perfectly."

The iconic Moss models a selection of styles from SKIMS’ bestselling Fits Everybody and Cotton collections.

Kardashian’s SKIMS also has backup from Kate’s family. "I wear it, my daughter [Lila Grace Moss, 18] wears it — even my mum [Linda Shepherd] wears it!" she said.

Kardashian, 40, is honored to have iconic supermodel Moss, 47, representing her brand. "I first met Kate in 2014 through [designer] Riccardo Tisci and was instantly struck by her cheeky humor, authentic and classic beauty — we've been friends ever since," Kardashian said.

Artist and photographer DonnaTrope [IG]captures the SKIMS campaign.

The brand — which is rockin’ in its own zone like Rihanna’s Fenty collection is rockin’ — also has key styles for the US Women’s Olympic team featured on the SKIMS [IG].

Kim Kardashian/Instagram

AOC so loves it when two sexy, independent-minded, child-loving, entrepreneurial women meet up at the Vatican. That’s exactly what happened a few weeks ago when Kardashian, Moss, and daughter Lila Grace toured the Vatican.

The SKIMS entrepreneur enjoyed more than one Sophia Loren moment, now that she is released from Yeezy bondage.

Kim no-longer receives God-given instructions on how to dress and was really feelin’ a goddess-vibe in Rome.

Just remember, Kim, women had way more power before monotheism came to the Vatican. You and Kate are well on the way to restoring some femme power in your new SKIMS campaign.

Good work, Ladies! AOC doesn’t use the work ‘flawless’, but if we did, you are in the flawless zone. ~ Anne
