Honestly, I thought that Kanye might have a bit of humility after the very public embarassment of burning down his business with his MAGA-love, White Lives Matter, anti-Semitic month of October. To read that West hadn’t even bothered to trademark White Lives Matter was astonishing for a man who used to think he should run with Bernard Arnaud.

It’s really not “master of the universe thinking” to blow your entire business up over an incendiary brand concept, coupled with your anti-Semitism, and you didn’t bother to trademark your brand concept. Who did you blame that oops on Kanye?

Black Ambition, Pharrell Williams’ newest venture dedicated to cultivating Black and Latino entrepreneurs, is the winner of the impact investing category of Fast Company’s 2021 World Changing Ideas Awards.

Williams launched Black Ambition last December 2020, with Louis Vuitton Men’s artistic director and founder of Off White Virgil Abloh is onboard as a member of the Black Ambition advisory team. Black Ambition will act as a non-profit initiative providing a bridge to success for Black and Latinx entrepreneurs who are launching start-ups in tech, design, healthcare, and consumer products.

LVMH Buys 50% of Jay-Z's Champagne Brand As Bernard Arnault Nods To Black Culture's Financial Influence

Jay-Z appears to be having the last laugh in the Champagne wars, selling a 50 percent stake in Armand de Brignac to LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton. Jay-Z’s Ace of Spades joins the luxury brand’s other prestige labels including Dom Pérignon, Moët & Chandon, Ruinart, Krug and Veuve Clicquot. Both parties must agree to major decisions for the company.

Most important, the partnership cements the luxury company’s ties with the entertainment industry and also to the growing embrace of the Black Lives Matter movement by progressives of every ethnic background and skin color. AOC has long lived in this atmosphere, but something very major is happening around us.

This last statement is AOC’s opinion and not that of the business media. To us, Bernard Arnault’s instinctual insights about the increasing dominance and overall influence of Black culture are obvious — and impressive.

Just last week Arnaud indirectly took a significant financial position in Savage X Fenty via L Catterton. This decision came as Rihanna and LVMH agreed to put the Fenty designer label on hold for the time-being.
