The Extraordinary Benefits and Challenges of AI

AOC has embraced a new writing program that puts to shame all the unsolicited garbage writing posts that come my way, under the guise of a sponsored post posing to be me.

Because I have great clarity on where I want to go with a story, the AI-generated output has been staggeringly competent, accurate and thoroughly researched.

It doesn’t have my flair for unique expression with words, but there’s a backstory there, as well.

Within the last couple of months, fashion bloggers are suddenly using phrases that only I have used. Always trying to stay one step ahead and also because it gives me a unique voice, I see phrases that only I have used.

AOC does NOT choose the option for SEO-driven writing in the AI program. SEO demands are behind the most of the dreadful human writing that comes my way with promises that you the reader won’t be able to tell the difference from my very unique voice and their contribution.

The arrogance of SEO guys is appalling. But I am clear that ‘Anne-speak’ is popping up in many places all of a sudden, and it is a bit unnerving.

Personally, I am eager to get on the visual platforms as well and have a colleage who understands me very well working on the initiative, before he takes me up the learning curve.

Presently, we are looking at Midjourney, one of the platforms examined in this new WWD article The Pope’s Coat Focuses Attention on AI.

For me the AI is a creative super opportunity, but I understand all the downsides, including job loss and even a redefinition of reality. In the WWD article, McKinsey consulting estimates the job losses to be between 400 -800 million jobs by 2030.

The civic and political consequences for global societies are ominous, and the situation requires humans who are messaging on digital platforms like Anne of Carversville to pledge transparency and integrity.

We do this when none is demanded of us by large numbers of people.

The question of “who do you trust?” is looming large as these new AI opportunities present themselves. Among creatives, the new opportunities are without limits and extraordinarily exciting.
