‘Panthère de Cartier’ Is Queen of Jeweler's NYC Nature-Inspired Store and Fall 2022 Campaign

‘Panthère de Cartier’ Ambassadors Jisoo of BLACKPINK and Ella Balinska Fall 2022 Campaign AOC Jewelry News

The sensuous and iconic Panthère, a wild, untamable animal whose symbolism and elegance have reigned over Cartier for almost 100 years, is channeled today by two ambassadors in the new Fall 2022 campaign. Her bold fierceness is also on prominent display in Cartier’s beautifully-renovated New York Fifth Avenue store.

In the latest ‘Panthère de Cartier’ images, the panther is worn by global ambassador Jisoo of BLACKPINK and actor Ella Balinska, also a face of the Maison.

With Jisoo’s May announcement, Arnaud Carrez, Cartier’s senior vice president and chief marketing officer, said “When we wanted to embody the magnetic aura of the panther, our attention was instinctively drawn to Jisoo. With her self-assured style, she is the voice of a new generation of creatives who dare to show their different talents. She is an artist who takes on her role with great creative freedom, never limiting herself.”

Cartier tapped ‘Charlie’s Angels’ British actor Ella Balinska in November 2019 as a brand ambassador of its Panthère de Cartier collection. A graduate from the prestigious Guildford School of Acting, Balinska has also trained in martial arts at the Academy of Performance Combat for the film.

Currently a ‘Resident Evil’ star, Balinska’s jujitsu gave her an action-hero edge. Before accepting the role, she also knew how to handle 12 different weapons. The Netflix live-action series made its debut in July, 2022.

Cartier’s Newly-Renovated New York Boutique

In Cartier’s newly-renovated, 28,772 square-foot in Manhattan, the Compagnie Financière Richemont‘s owned largest Cartier boutique has been reenvisioned as a cultural distination by Paris-based interior designer Laura Gonzalez.

“It’s an iconic address of the maison, filled with history and anecdotes,” Gonzalez said of the Fifth Avenue location. “Our ambition was to breathe back life, a new dynamic, while respecting its past and preserving its soul, which you can still feel very well”, reported WWD.

Gonzalez also linked the Cartier spirit to organic parts of the city — its parks — by introducing lush green hues into the space, seen in the furnishings throughout and the carpeting that ascends the grand staircase. “I simply think that green represents vegetation, nature,” she explained. “Fifth Avenue is very close to Central Park, and I needed to include all these elements in the project to create an oasis, a peaceful beacon in between classicism and the building’s history.”

On a related note — AOC is always searching for sustainability progress — Cartier uses more than 90% recycled gold in its creations, while supporting a small-scale gold mine in Peru. This tandem approach allows strong footprint reduction while supporting sustainable mining practices and contributing to positive social and environmental impact in the mine’s communities.
