Breonna Taylor: Kelly Goodlett Pleads Guilty to Lying About Search Warrant Application

Former Louisville, Ky police detective Kelly Goodlett, pleaded guilty in federal court August 23, that she worked with another Louisville police officer to falsify a search warrant application. Ultimately, the false application resulted in a judge authorizing the warrant that let to the raid of Breonna Taylor’s apartment, a police proceeding that led to a totally innocent Breonna Taylor being shot dead in March 2020.

Louisville police were searching for evidence of drug dealing by Jamarcus Glover, Ms. Taylor’s former boyfriend.

In applying for the search warrant, Louisville detectives claimed that a US postal inspector verified that Mr. Glober was having packages delivered to Ms. Taylor’s apartment. No such verification or conversation ever took place.
