Beabadoobee Covers D la Repubblica June 25 Lensed by Amit Israeli

Filipino-British singer/songwriter Beabadoobee [IG] got her name because none of the more personal ones she was trying to register were available on the streaming apps. Frustrated, Beatrice Laus just loaded in the sound beat sequence ‘Beadbadoobee’.

The result is a name now front and center on the June 25 cover of D la Repubblica [IG], lensed by Amit Israeli [IG]. Beadbadoobee wears Louis Vuitton on the cover, styled by Margherita Moro.

Beabadoobee played Glastonbury over the weekend, with her new album ‘Beatopia’ waiting in the wings.

Rolling Stone interviewed her mid-June in Beadbadoobee on Fairies, Shrooms, and Standing Up for Her Vision. In the past, songwriting has been a way for the artist to “vomit my feelings”.

It’s easy to smile about youthful angst with the mature knowledge that she will grow out of this phase. And yet — at least in America — there is growing medical evidence that our young people are seriously depressed about the state of our world.

We share ‘Talk’ from ‘Beatopia’.

Rolling Stone opines that in ‘Beatopia’, Beebadoobee finds a “new state of self-acceptance and a determination to to working through it all, her voice layered in sorrow and hope.”

“I think a lot of people relate to the things I write,” Kristi says of her global listenership, which stretches from Los Angeles to Jakarta. “A lot of people see themselves in me.”
