Kanye West's [aka Ye] Refusal to Treat His Mental Illness Is No Excuse For His Anti-Semitism

We Cannot Be Silent About Kanye West’s Anti-Semitism

Ari Emanuel is one of Hollywood’s powerful people — one of the Jews Kanye was wailing about yesterday during his long grievance-centered, vehicle interview with Chris Cuomo.

Emanuel has called upon companies like Apple and Spotify, like Adidas who is currently reviewing their contractual relationship with West and other business partners who raise revenue off of Kanye West, to suspend their relationships.

To the best of our understanding, Kanye’s relationship with Gap is over and the lawyers are sorting out details of the divorce.

“West is not just any person — he is a pop culture icon with millions of fans around the world,” Emanuel wrote in an op-ed for The Financial Times. “And among them are young people whose views are still being formed. This is why it is necessary for all of us to speak out. Hatred and anti-Semitism should have no place in our society, no matter how much money is at stake.”

“Those who continue to do business with West are giving his misguided hate an audience. There should be no tolerance anywhere for West’s anti-Semitism,” Emanuel continued. “This is a moment in history where the stakes are high and being open about our values, and living them, is essential. Silence and inaction are not an option.”

Emanuel praised his long-time clients LeBron James and Maverick Carter, for not running an interview with Kanye West that had been recorded for the talk series ‘The Shop’.

Carter moved at once to cancel the interview, after reading Kanye’s late-night promise to go Death Con 3 on Jews.

In closing, Emanuel also offered to bring together faith leaders including rabbis, Muslim and Christian leaders to educate West about the history and consequences of anti-Semitism that others before him have parroted and acted upon.

Given the fact that Kanye believes that God speaks directly to him in the shower, he probably finds the idea of being educated by the world’s top faith leaders to be a personal insult.

The Black Hebrew Israelite Movement

As for Kanye’s absurd comments that he can’t be anti-Semitic because black people are actually Jews, that’s a separate post. AOC will turn to the ADL for assistance to explain this distortion of history to those who don’t understand West’s reference.

In our post-Charlottesville 2017 America, we must speak in opposition to Kanye’s dangerous, relentless, assault on the Jewish people. Just like Donald Trump, West understands his power over his audience. And while both men have shrinking audiences to the best of our knowledge, existing supporters are adamant in embracing narratives that just are not true and often promising to act on them.

January 6 and the insurrection against our federal government by an angry mob yelling “Hang Mike Pence” for refusing to create a constitutional crisis, exercising powers he did not have, should be a wakeup call to the danger of invectives like the ones coming from Kanye West’s mouth.

West has again been largely shut down on social media and has only one Biblical post on Parler, the small, right-wing social media company he is reportedly buying. He also has about 28,000 followers after major coverage in the Monday press release.

Kanye West Also Desecrated the National Nightmare Murder and Memory of George Floyd

Note that AOC is also sad and angry to our core to see Kanye West spread lies about the murder of George Floyd in death, and to deride the entire Black Lives Matter movement for some questionable finances-related decisions of its founders.

On the subject of George Floyd, what Kanye is doing is criminal as he denies all the doctors and medical experts testimony from the Derek Chauvin trial and the guilty verdicts reached by juries. Kanye says that Floyd died of a drug overdose and not from Chauvin’s nine-minute knee on his neck murder.
