La Perla's 'Comfort Zone' Supreme Green Cotton, Recycled Lycra Luxury Lingerie AOC Fashion

Italian lingerie brand La Perla introduces an everyday essentials, earth-friendly, sustainable cotton-lycra collection called Comfort Zone. The great name, new collection is made from recycled Lycra and Supreme Green Cotton.

The six-piece collection includes bodysuits, bralettes, tank tops and high-waisted briefs in three different colors with the “La Perla” logo printed in various locations.

“Practical and functional, Comfort Zone is designed to fluidly transition throughout the wearer’s wardrobe, with a focus on in-and-out dressing,” the company said in a statement.

La Perla seems not to promote the sustainability credentials as strongly as they should. At their price points, the La Perla customer is both aware and increasingly committed to buying credentialed, earth-friendly products whenever possible.

The functionality of the designs is obvious from the photography. It’s the high-aesthetic photography , sensuality and now earth-nurturing, sustainability credentials that make it La Perla.

La Perla may not be aware of this reality, but ‘comfort zone’ also appeals to psychological guilt around being a bad environmentalist. If you can afford to buy sustainable luxury products as your first choice and you don’t do it, this decision will begin to haunt you as a matter of conscience. You are attacking our fragile earth. Trust me on this one. ~ Anne
