Read Kim Kardashian West: "People might not get that we're in on the joke" at i-D Magazine.

Last Thursday evening, Kanye West {now Ye], pressed publicly that “his” wife must return to him: "I need you to run right back to me,” Kanye West rapped at a benefit concert with Drake in LA. . . . "More specifically, Kimberly."

As multiple other headlines connected to Kanye West broke late last week, Kim Kardashian took a major step in her divorce proceeding against him, filing a new appeal to the court on Friday, December 13th that will grant her divorce and legal status as a single person. “[ Kardashian West] has been attempting to settle this manner since she filed her Petition for Dissolution of Marriage in February 2021,” her lawyers argued in court filings. Kardashian’s lawyers also added that they had reached out to Ye several times “in an attempt to move this case forward to a speedy and amicable resolution. [Ye] has been non-responsive.”

In the same court documents filed Dec. 13, the reality star asked to change her name back to Kimberly Noel Kardashian, legally dropping West from her name.

One assumes that this action should settle the definitive nature of the divorce proceedings from Kim’s perspective, but Kanye West has made it very public on many occasions that he wants, needs, demands that his wife return to him. This is textbook stuff, people.
