Tyler Mitchell Captures BVLGARI x AMBUSH Collab with Bella, Ellen + Xiao

Yoon, Tokyo-based Creative Director of AMBUSH, has a new collab with BVLGARI, a collection of limited-edition leather goods in power-punch colors of green, fuchsia and turquoise.

In a press statement, elaborating on her interpretation of BVLGARI’s iconic Serpenti icon and products, Yoon declared, “For this capsule collection, I wanted to express the bold and contemporary character of Serpenti. Snakes are wondrous and fascinating creatures of nature, but with BVLGARI, they also became a symbol of glamour in constant evolution. Natural beauty meets human creation, all guided by a contemporary aesthetic.”

Photographed by Tyler Mitchell, the new campaign features models Bella Hadid, Ellen Rosa and Xiao Wen Ju.

BVLGARI is held in high regard for their efforts at becoming a more sustainable {LVMH) luxury brand. And indeed, these Tree Python snakes are known for their vivid colors. I suppose calling them glamorous is allowed — just not in AOC’s playbook — without clarification.

Yes, they are wondrous— these snakes, but the bags are made of napa leather. However, BVLGARI does have major production in snakeskin bags.

There’s incredible work being done with fish skin as an alternative to leather. Read this Wired UK article: Forget leather, the future of fashion is all about fish skin.
