Adriana Lima Is Radiant In Chopard's 'Magical Setting' Collection, Lensed By Michael Schwartz

What better place than Miami for Adriana Lima to showcase luxe jeweler Chopard’s new Magical Setting collection. Photographer Michael Schwartz captures the shimmering diamonds clustered in floral shapes in a unique, breakthrough collection of necklaces, earrings and rings. Elizabeth Sulcer styles Adriana with hair by Peter Gray and makeup by Georgi Sandev.

The skills of the maison's high jewellery department are put to task with this new setting, as the diamonds seem to be floating freely, with no links or claws holding them together. They come together in an explosion of sparkle, unencumbered by heavy metal prongs or claws, as if linked together by the tap of a wand. The collection features diamonds, blue sapphires from Sri Lanka, rubies from Mozambique and Madagascar, or emeralds from Colombia and Zambia. Each flower is anchored by a focal stone, that's surrounded by an array of precious gems.

Supermodel Adriana Lima Hangs Up Victoria's Secret Angel Wings After 2018 VS Fashion Show

Adriana Lima announced her retirement from Victoria’s Secret after walking her 18th and last fashion show at Manhattan’s Pier 94. Her Instagram post was a sweet goodbye.

Victoria’s Secret Angel, Brazilian beauty Adriana Lima is hanging up her wings after two decades and 18 fashion shows with the brand. Lima shared the news on her Instagram following Thursday night’s taping of the annual show.

The name Adriana Lima is almost synonymous with the Victoria’s Secret brand, and Lima is so devoted to its success that she famously walked the runway in 2012, just five weeks after giving birth.

"Dear Victoria, Thank you for showing me the world, sharing your secrets, and most importantly not just giving me wings but teaching me to fly. And all the ❤️ to the best fans in the 🌎! Love, Adriana 💖"

Victoria’s Secret sent Adriana out with a bang, devoting a whole segment of her final VS runway walk to her. Making a solo walk down the runway against the backdrop of a video montage of her spectacular VS career, tears broke when Victoria’s Secret gave her a sign to carry that read, "Thank you to the best Angel of all time."

Lima’s departure comes a year after the retirement of fellow Brazilian sister Alessandra Ambrosio, who retired her wings after 17 years after the 2017 fashion show. With multiple challenges for the brand dominating its current status, the departure of Adriana Lima is one more data dot in projecting the Victoria’s Secret future.

The early read on VS execs Ed Razek and Monica Mitro’s online Vogue interview “We’re Nobody’s Third Love, We’re Their First Love”—The Architects of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Are Still Banking on Bombshells is not great. The Cut wrote: This Interview With the Minds Behind Victoria’s Secret Is . . . Really Something.

I know both Ed and Monica and have articulated my own thoughts on Victoria’s Secret many times. It’s a moment for reflection before saying anything else right now about Victoria’s Secret. Meanwhile, we share a look back at Adriana Lima’s career to date. There’s no doubt that she has an exciting future ahead of her.

Adriana Lima Becomes Puma Women's Training Ambassador

Victoria’s Secret Angel Adriana Lima has staying power, being hard at work since the late 90s. Now the boxing queen ‘gym inspo’ has been named Puma’s international training ambassador, and she sits down with Glamour UK to talk her badass fearless female self.

All the sweat in the campaign is my own — I want to show the reality . . .

I believe in advertising that people want to feel related to you as a human. What I always stand for through my work is that I like to show reality, what is real. For instance, over the last few days, shooting for Puma, everything that you see in the campaign is real, I go out there and I am working out for real. The sweat you are going to see is real, it’s not a set up. I believe Puma wants to empower women to stretch and reach their goals whatever they are and whatever that takes whether that is through being fashionable or feeling good about themselves.

The lesson I want to teach my children about body image and fitness is . . .

Feeling good is not a physical matter, feeling good is a thing that is inside of you. You are the one who has to figure out what makes you happy, whatever that is. If it’s taking a walk, dancing, that’s a form of workout. It’s a matter of doing the little things that make you smile – that’s the secret to life.
