Edie & Christabel's Itchy Scratchy Patchy Opens At NYC Dover Street Market Honoring 5 Women 'Heroes'

The divine Edie Campbell continues to pop up everywhere. Vogue US introduces us to Edie's good bud Christabel MacGreevy, Campbell's partner in Itchy Scratchy Patchy, the fashion with heart label the duo launched in 2015.

"Informed by MacGreevy’s background in life drawing and embroideries—she studied at Central Saint Martins before launching her art career—the patches feature special design treatments. Some come complete with fringed edges made of Lurex, others are woven in elaborate patterns or textures to heighten the story told in the designs", Vogue wrote at launch. 

Today, its latest collection, titled Heroes, lands in Dover Street Market New York.

“Where we started was very playful and irreverent and kind of sarcastic, and this is definitely much more heartfelt and kind of more sincere,” said Campbell over the phone from London. The pair’s new collection is inspired by five women—Sappho, writer Jeanette Winterson, journalist Marie Colvin, artist Leonora Carrington, and Boudicca—and utilizes symbols to represent the strengths and virtues of each woman on garments that range from trousers made in collaboration with Dickie’s to motorcycle gang jackets made with Lewis Leathers.

“They are very singular people, who kind of just grabbed us,” began Campbell. “There’s no particular rhyme or reason to it, they just had characteristics or lives that are very, very...”
