Jill Biden Shines Brightly on Her Smart Sensuality Stage

Smart Sensuality women come in a wide variety of sizes, shapes, and ages.

Jill Biden, wife of U.S. Vice President Joe Biden reminds us that you can be “drop dead gorgeous” — as husband Joe called her at the Democratic convention — at any age.

At 57, Jill Biden looks much younger than her calendar age, partly due to the great value that she puts on fitness. Translated, Dr. Jill Biden, mother of three, political wife and college professor runs five miles a day.

Mrs. Biden doesn’t stop there. In a pre-election feature, Vogue’s Style.com reported that Jill, along with Joe’s sister and lifelong ‘best friend’ Valerie, led the family effort to get Joe the Democratic nomination.

Jill who was teaching four days a week, “would get on that plane every Friday, and they would have events from seven in the morning to late at night,” she says. “Sunday I’d get back at around midnight and have to be in the classroom at 8:30 a.m. Those weekends were something else.”

Like her Smart Sensuality buddy Michelle Obama, Jill Biden enjoys a very romantic relationship with her husband to this day. We sense this is another couple that has managed to keep lust alive.

Most people know the tragic story of Joe Biden’s loss of his first wife and daughter in an automobile accident. His twin boys Beau and Hunter nearly died also.

Joe Biden was a man on a mission, in his pursuit of Jill, a part-time model finishing her college degree. The VP was totally smitten, after seeing her gorgeous face on an advertisement, posted on a bus shelter. Her phone number was unlisted, but Joe tracked her down through his brother Frankie.

All parties present confirm the story that Joe asked Jill five times to marry him, before she said ‘yes’. The challenge wasn’t one of loving him or not loving him. Jill had divorced at a young age and was very sensitive to the fact that the young Biden boys had already lost one mother and couldn’t endure a second severance of maternal ties.

Personal responsibility is a cornerstone of Biden’s life: personal, family and friends, civic and professional.

In spite of living in her husband’s limelight, Jill Biden holds her own, not only as an educated professional, but as an independent woman radiating her own wattage. Jill has solid advice for every woman. Like Michelle, she believes in self-nurturing, making herself a priority.

It is telling that Hallie, (Joe’s son) Beau’s wife and a more recent political spouse (her husband was elected Delaware state attorney general in 2006), speaks of her mother-in-law with a kind of hushed awe. “This is new to me, with my husband’s role, but I’m learning from Jill. ‘Make sure you have something for yourself,’ she’ll say. ‘Make sure you are not always at home, waiting. Make sure you feel independent financially and emotionally.’ I listen and I learn. I took a couple years off with the kids, but now I’m back to work.”

The sensual, flirtatious blond school teacher has an eye for style, sporting ‘affordable’ (I use the term loosely) fashion from Rebecca Taylor, and pointy black Manolo mules. Perhaps the Vice President has a foot fetish, because he still swoons over his wife.
