Isabeli Fontana | Mert & Marcus | Vogue Paris June/July 2011

Isabeli Fontana smolders red hot in the June/July Vogue Paris cover editorial by Mert & Marcus, styled by Vogue editor-in-chief Emmanuelle Alt and called ‘canicule’.
We are enticed with a sun drenched fantasy: “Escale en Grèce — Ses iles, ses mythes, ses heroes, ses plaisirs,” or in English, “Stopover in Greece — Its islands, its myths, its heroes, its pleasures.” The editorial celebrates the hottest summer days.
In reality the editorial is raising a lot of criticism at TFS for not being a mere tribute to an earlier Linda Evangelista lensed by Steven Meisel, but bordering on plagiarism.
The majority of comments say ‘why not use Linda’ if the point was to knock off the editorial totally. (Original Meisel editorial is here.) Back to Isabeli Fontana who looks just beautiful to us, with no Meisel grit, just pure M&M gorgeosity.
