Abbey Lee Kershaw, Crystal Renn & Eniko Mihalik | Terry Richardson | Vogue Paris Dec/Jan 2011

Let’s be clear. If we didn’t know the photographer, the consensus is the Abbey Lee Kershaw, Crystal Renn & Eniko Mihalik Vogue Paris editorial ‘Pussy West’ is well done. One editorial doesn’t make a newday photographer of Terry Richardson.

Realistically, I assume the esteemed Carine Roitfeld would set Terry Richardson on a new course, at least for her generally, perfectly-pitched Vogue Paris. This imagery is also very Tom Ford, which is more likely to empower women, than reduce them as Terry Richardson prefers.

None of the images are superbly executed but for TR, it’s progress.

I know the plastic surgery editorial in this same issue is very controversial. Truly Tom Ford is woman’s friend, in spite of those images.

Time will tell about TR, who can read the mood many of us are in regarding his work. I really like this editorial of sexy, strong Wild West women, styled by Julia von Boehm. via FGR
