Luca Gajdus Travels In Art Deco Elegance Lensed By Koto Bolofo For Numero #161 March 2015

Model Luca Gajdus honors the beginnings of modernism and ocean travel associated with the Art Deco movement. The sea and wandering to far away places were common themes in the 1920s, with shells and strong abstract patterns representing a total departure from the complicated, intricate patterns of Art Nouveau. The look also set the luxury class apart from the little people with its spare sophistication and elegance.

Self-taught South African photographer Koto Bolofo again gets our attention, weaving a story into his fashion narrative with La Passagère, styled by Irina Marie for Numero #161 March 2015.
