Nina Reijnders & Victoria Lipatova | Koray Pariak | Marie Claire Turkey December 2011

Yet another photographer from Turkey — this time Koray Parlak shooting models Nina Reijnders and Victoria Lipatova for the December 2011 issue of Marie Claire Turkey — brings New Eroticism into the light of unadulterated sensuality. Fetish symbolism prevails in these leather-meets-lace images but so do white wings at the end.

These images aren’t lewd, guilt-ridden or dirty — not that I mind darkness, nor do most readers. In the same way that the majority of women like a plot in their erotic movies, and romance gone positively wild, the lack of decadence in these images, styled by Hakan Ozturk, is refreshing.

So will American Vogue follow Marie Claire Turkey? I doubt it. If Emmanuelle Alt ever wanted to attempt a bit of edge again in Vogue Paris, this would be a good place to start. No nudity, no darkness, no guilt. Just fashion style and beautiful clothes with a strong undertone of sensual mystery among les femmes. Very nicely done. Anne
