Hailey Bieber Covers Vogue Australia October 2019, Lensed by Lachlan Bailey

Hailey Bieber is styled by Christine Centenera in her Vogue Australia October 2019 cover story, lensed by Lachlan Bailey.

Hailey Baldwin Bieber is now going by Hailey Rhode Bieber and @haileybieber on Instagram and Wiki. That’s an interesting factoid, considering that Bieber talks a lot about finding her own lane, in her Vogue Australia October 2019 cover story and interview.

In today’s Insta world, it’s difficult not to measure oneself against the competition, especially when your friends are Kendall [Jenner] and Bella [Bella Hadid] and Gigi [Hadid] — and you’re considered to be short at 5’8”. That’s an unfortunate truth in the world of modeling.

Hailey spends a lot of time in her Vogue Australia interview talking about insecurities and doubting her relationship with husband Justin Bieber, after reading all the haters comments online.

“When I had hundreds of thousands of comments bombarding me with: ‘He’s never going to this,’ ‘You’re never going to that,’ ‘You’ll be divorced by then,’ you can't help but wonder: ‘Does someone see something that I don't see?’” she added. “It starts to mess with your mind. But the only two people in a relationship are the two people in it. I’ve been working on retraining my thought process to understand that.”

Clearly both Hailey Rhode Bieber and Justin Bieber are evolving, torn by all the normal challenges of relationships and individual growth. But Hailey seems particularly vulnerable — obviously torn by competing for zillions of admirers and followers, living in the public limelight and measuring herself against her stratospheric friends as her chosen place to live.

Kendall Jenner has been very public about the downside of all that incredible fame and success. Same for the Hadid sisters, who have each other and a tremendously close bond with their parents. Jenner is grounded in a dynasty — public yes and often derided — but they’ve got Kendall’s back when she needs them.

TMZ reports that the Bieber’s will marry in front of friends and family on September 30, 2019, at the Montage Palmetto Bluff in South Carolina. But wait, a recent ET Online article says the wedding will take place in Southern California. Why not just keep the whole subject on the down low? Karlie Kloss and Joshus Kushner pulled it off. Your true friends never tell.

Let’s hope it’s a wonderful affair for a marriage that brings much delicious fruit. Even Hailey’s focus in her interviews is on the challenges and hard work required to make the Bieber marriage work. Good for both of them to work so hard on it.
