Sky Ferreira | Hugh Lippe & Bernadette Pascua | 'The Witching Hour'

Sky Ferreira is a fast-rising musician with something to say. In this series of stupendous images snapped by Hugh Lippe for StyleCaster, then melded with illustrations by Bernadette Pascua, Sky articulates the challenges of modern womanhood in a world with lots of ‘Sex Rules’. Martha Violante styles the shoot in all black ensembles.

Ferreira is of Portuguese, Brazil and Native American descent and grew up in LA singing gospel songs and taking opera lessons. Listening to her lyrics on the delayed release first album, Sky holds promise to rise in the traditions of Shakira, Madonna and Gaga — women singers who embrace positive sensuality and sing about the struggle.

The singer’s particular brand of energetic electro pop club sound makes her a Spice Girl. We’ll be watching Sky Ferreira unfold.
