Bruna Tenório | Kevin Sinclair | Vestal Magazine January 2011 | Phoenix Rising

Vestal Magazine is an online magazine focused on women’s fashion and beauty.

Founded by photographer Kevin Sinclair, Vestal provides a fresh alternative to traditional fashion publications and represents the changing face of fashion and photography.

In this editorial called ‘Bruna’, Kevin Sinclair works with stylist Beagy Zielinski to create an erotic and strong but also very feminine Bruna Tenório. The story is part of an entire Vestal Magazine presentation devoted to fetish. We love it!

AOC is interested in any publication named Vestal, in honor of Rome’s Vestal Virgins.

Historically the Vestals lived a freer life as high priestesses of Rome. The Chief Vestal was a member of the College of Pontiffs, whose members were the highest-ranking priests of the then polytheistic state religion.

Wiki explains that the Vestals were sworn to celibacy for 30 years, with their careers divided into three daces: study, service and then teaching. At the end of the 30 years, the Vestals could marry if they wished but few chose to do so, not wanting to submit to the authority of a man and the restrictions on married women under Roman law.

Men sought to marry a Vestal, in spite of her age because she was considered a noble ‘catch’.
