Anja Rubik | Glen Luchford | Purple Fashion No 14 Fall-Winter 2010

Note: nudity| We’re confused by the criticism of the Anja Rubik’s Glen Luchford’s images for Purple Magazine’s Fall Winter 2010 issue. Purple has always reigned as a social commentary fashion, culture, art publication with edge.

To read that this ‘look’ isn’t recommended for the ‘sophisticated fashioniser’ boggles our brain. And yes, we also have succumbed to mental masturbation on occasion.

We’re not talking Glamour Magazine here. In fact, we rather like the arthouse feel to the Anja Rubik photos. As for her eyebrows — well we’re focused on the big erotic picture and disagree totally that the nudity trend is ‘over’ anyway.

Any throwback to an early Madonna reference is fine with us, cuz the girl had guts and substance, to say nothing of enormous smarts, talent, ambition and heart.

In fact, we’re just getting started into a more intellectual exploration of female sensuality, as fashion becomes more artful in expanding its base of messaging beyond shopping the rack. Photos via Fashionising.com.
