Angelina Chapin Talks Why Harvey Weinstein Shoots Cum Into Potted Plants & Other Male Power Stories

Of course the title of The Cut's 'Why Men Force Women to Watch Them Masturbate' got my attention.  Lauren Sivan's story about Harvey Weinstein shooting cum into a potted plant at Socialista, demanding that she watch him after she rebuffed him, was front and center in my mind before thinking about my own man masturbating with the demand that I watch him on the New York subway.

Alrighty then, thanks to writer Angelina Chapin . . . here's an insightful, informative analysis of how crazy I must have driven the jerking off guy on the New York Subway as he was masturbating for many stops in front of me and I never looked up from my book. I did notice that the person sitting next to me moved, but even then I didn't look up because it was a REALLY good book. Everybody in the car was watching this incredible scene where this naked c#ck just couldn't get my attention. Imagine that! Shot down by a good book.

When we rolled into my station in Brooklyn, I looked up, saw the grossness, started cursing the guy out, and grabbed my umbrella -- which was a beautiful, glorious piece of artistry and strong, too. I cursed him out like crazy and began hammering him with the umbrella as I chased him off the train, his pants half undone. On my way out, I turned to all the passengers staring in disbelief at what they had witnessed and said "Thanks a lot! Someone could have nudged me!"

Chapin interviews Alexandra Katehakis, a sex therapist and clinical director of the Center for Healthy Sex in L.A. Here's a taste of an interview well worth the read:

Masturbating is a different form of violence, one that isn’t physical or verbal. Why does this particular act appeal to predators?

Exhibitionists purposefully look to shock their victims because they are angry. They are not looking to make friends or go on a date — these are acts of revenge against women. These men are imposing the body part that is most threatening to a female and in doing so, they are acting out what is called “sexualized hostility” or “eroticized rage” against their prey. That look of fear or humiliation on women is arousing to them. We see clinically that these men feel wildly inadequate.
