Starbucks Calorie Consumption Falls in New York

After Mayor Bloomberg instituted calorie postings in New York, calories per purchase fell in Starbucks New York outlets by a dramatic 26% in food choices. Beverages were barely impacted and neither was the Starbucks profit picture.

Not only did customers not bail to competitor Dunkin’ Donuts, but it’s believed the calorie posting positively impacted revenue. Stanford University persuaded Starbucks to hand over the data.via Reuters
