Love | Peace Today’s NYTimes features an interesting story on French Imam Hassen Chalghoumi, whose mosque is in Drancy, northeast of Paris. Chalghoumi has been called ‘the imam of the Jews’.
What makes Hassen Chalghoumi different? He supports a ban on burqas, opposes radicalism, is ecumenical and he favors dialogue with France’s Jews.
He has also received death threats, particularly for his support of the burqa ban. It’s said that Chaighoumi is far more popular with the media and infidels, than with Muslims. We will learn more about this man. For now, read on For a French Imam, Isam’s True Enemy Is Radicalism.
