Extra Virgin Oil Represses Pro-Inflammation Genes

Love to Eat| Scientists say eating a diet rich in the phenolic components found in extra virgin oil moreso than regular, represses several pro-inflammatory genes associated with the reduced risk of cardiovascular disease among people who eat a ‘Mediterranean diet’.

A controlled study tracked 20 patients with matabolic syndrome, a common condition associated with heart disease and typs 2 diabetes. The patients stopped taking all other pills and mediations.
