One of the greatest challenge for young creatives is getting their work scene and reviewed. If climate activism is your passion, Art Partner has created a significant opportunity to put a creative project in front of an all-star panel of sustainability-focused professionals.

Think you’re good? Then seek feedback from Eco-Age Founder Livia Firth, fashion designer Gabriela Hearst, photographer Harley Weir, designer and entrepreneur Francisco Costa,, artist and writer Wilson Oryema, agent Giovanni Testino, Vogue Italia Creative Director Ferdinando Verderi.

#CreateCOP25 is a contest for young creatives and climate activists to submit artistic responses to the environment and climate emergency. The six most impactful works will be publicized during the United Nation’s COP25 climate conference this December in Chile. These will serve as messages from the creative community that the time is now for governments to end their contribution to climate change.

One (1) winner will receive $10,000 and five (5) runner-ups will receive $2,000 each to fund future projects that respond to climate change. The winner will also have the opportunity to collaborate on an editorial project with Art Partner. All six (6) finalists will receive ongoing mentorship and exposure from Art Partner.

Submissions can be any medium including, but not limited to, photography projects, docu-style and experimental film, performance art, spoken word, musical compositions, fashion design, new media and social media projects. We encourage entrants to submit existing work.

Submission Process

All entrants must be between 14 and 30 years old at the time of submission. The contest is open to participants globally.

The campaign captures nomadic spirit of the collection, with protagonist representing traveler who transcend space and time.

The Missoni Summer 2019 campaign is resplendent in the nocturnal lights of space, as the stars and planets transform into an ethereal background. Skies are as blue as a baroque theatre, with close-up and extended views of galactic, sandy and blazing destinations. Desert landscapes are animated by sand dunes and craters, painted by the reflections of stars which frame our two protagonists: top model Gisele Bündchen, historic testimonial for Missoni, and singer Tamino Amir Moharam Fouad, the latest sensation in the European alternative rock scene.

The two models reveal this season’s looks and pose as if they were dreamlike creatures emerging from the astral heavens. Dresses encrusted in ruffles and gossamer knitted mesh or iridescent ensembles in space-dyed lamé drape the body of a dancing Gisele.

Angela Missoni creates descriptive context around the images and her fall 2018 collection, saying:

“A gallery of silhouetted figures, graphic poses, and soaring identities that are iconic, unique and inimitable. A convergence of body and garment, personality and style identity. It is an invitation to compose, superimpose, and deliberately interpret the extraordinary craftsmanship, finishings, and details of a collection rich in creations and variations; shades and patterns; weights and textures. Enveloping fabrics are soft and warm, or otherwise lightweight and transparent. A series of patchwork designs, mesh fabrics, fringe details, jacquards inspired by the coats of wild animals, and streaked and spotted capes reference multiethnic costumes, urban graffiti, the colours of Africa and Jamaica, and the sensual nonchalance of iconic stars such as Lenny Kravitz or Lisa Bonet.

Harley Weir Shoots Stella McCartney Fall 2017 Campaign At Landfill In Eastern Scotland

Harley Weir Shoots Stella McCartney Fall 2017 Campaign At Landfill In Eastern Scotland

If there's one word I hate in today's modern vocabulary, it’s "authentic". It's one of the most over-used words to describe what voters want. Why is Donald Trump the president of the United States? His voters found him to be “authentic”, say the talking heads. Sigh.

Stella McCartney is another topic entirely. The British designer sources 53 percent of her label's materials from sustainable sources and is proudly vegetarian. She is constantly pressing the fashion industry to do more for the environment, challenging luxury labels and mass marketers alike to move on sustainability issues. Generally, the fashion industry is considered to be the second largest polluter on the planet.

It comes as no surprise, then, that Stella McCartney teamed up with cool-girl photographer Harley Weir in a Fall 2017 campaign shot at a landfill in Eastern Scotland. Models Birgit Kos, Iana Godnia and Huan Zhou lounge on a rusted-out car or piles of trash.
