Erin Wasson Lensed By Petrovsky & Ramone For Vogue Netherlands July 2013

Model Erin Wasson gets snapped by photographers Petrovsky and Ramone as she enjoys a sandy beach, baring all in the shoot for Vogue Netherlands. It will be out in the July 2013 issue of the magazine, with styling contributed by Jetteke Van Lexmond.

This shoot is relaxed and has a peaceful feel to it, as Erin seems to be fully embracing the summer feel and letting go. Sun, surf and sensuality all come together as we see first hand that being outdoors seems to be the key to making people look and feel more revitalized and positive.

In America, it seems less and less people are able to relax and this does take a toll on health. Research has shown people who don’t rest their bodies are prone to be more irritable and cranky, as well as making you more susceptible to illnesses and colds.

The difference in Europe is that people take time out and immerse themselves in nature so much more, it’s almost part of the culture. Currently, they’re all off enjoying a summer vacation where the idea is to be calm, tranquil and well-rested.

This is why I enjoy vacations to places like Italy and France, where it is completely normal to take a break and enjoy a relaxing time-out. Stress is relieved and I will strongly argue that being well-rested puts you in a much more upbeat and positive mood.

Research on Medtiblog has shown that spending more time outside actually improves “physical, mental, social and intellectual wellness.”

Look out Americans, there may be a much simpler solution than any of us would have ever thought. A bit of time with Mother Nature could be the answer to our problems. - Ceylan.
