Will Zambian President Banda Win Monday's Baby Saving 'Porn' Hearing Against Chansa Kabwela?

President Rupiah Banda of Zambiahttp://bit.ly/RPv6o

Chansa Kabwela’s trial reconvenes tomorrow in Zambia. Waking up this morning, I’m shocked in a good way to see the Internet searches around her case. From nowhere, Chansa Kabwela was our 3 and 4 top story yesterday.

1) Here are all the key Anne of Carversville articles on her case:

2) To journalists, please consider putting the Chansa Kabwela in the much bigger picture of legislating women’s morality around the world. The situation is ESCALATING, not improving in so many countries and not only in the developing world.

In the case of Lubna Hussein, the press spotlight was effective. But the flogging continues in Sudan.

International press is the spotlight that helps women avoid the lash, the stone, and an investigation by religious authorities.

We need a cohesive, ongoing context around these events that tracks them daily, so that the people living in these countries can try to change their morality laws with our help. Fundamental forces are stripping away women’s rights everywhere.  Anne
