Felicity Jones | Craig McDean | Interview Magazine April 2011

In spite of her role in vibrator-loving Chalet Girl; Hysteria, Felicity Jones for real channels Audrey Hepburn more than a 21st century sex vixen. The British actress delivered a ‘disarmingly intimate performance in Like Crazy that earned her a Special Jury Price at this year’s Sundance Festival.’ John Rye interviews Felicity Jones for Interview Magazine, with images lensed by Craig McDean and styled by Karl Templer.

I first discovered Felicity while cannel surfing on a snowy day at home in New Brunswick Canada. I was taken by the similarity of her looks to my wife when I met her in 1979. Felicity, cast in Cemetery Junction as a young woman in the 1970s was pretty much identical to my memory of my wife. So I looked her up and was more than pleased with who I found her to be. Young, beautiful, talented, level headed, hard working, unaffected and just plain amazing. I have a hard time finding her works here in Canada. I want to see Like Crazy, and the fun flick, Chalet girl. I hope to see her appear more in North America. Maybe I will have to go to London this summer and see her in the new play she is staring in. I can’t think of a better reason to fly the Atlantic. This woman will soon be well recognized over here too, an obvious talent with all of the right qualities to make it big and remain one of the people.
